How to care for my Silver Jewellery
Sterling Silver can oxidise when exposed to air or high levels of humidity, silver needs to be polished with a soft cloth to remove this oxidation. Lighting can also negatively impact the colour of the silver. Silver jewellery should also be stored in a box, bag or soft cloth to prevent scratching with other items.
Spraying perfume directly onto your jewellery could impact it’s colour. Some medications or skin types may also cause silver to tarnish.
When cleaning your jewellery do not use harsh chemicals, rather a silver dip, polish paste or silver cloth. Check that there are no loose stones and limit gemstone exposure to silver polish.
Some cleaners may harm certain gemstones. You may also use a mild diluted dishwashing liquid and afterwards rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
Rhodium plated 925 silver does not tarnish.
